New Cobra fairways and hybrids complement Fly-Z irons and drivers
New Cobra Fly-Z fairway and hybrids - all part of the Fly-Z, Fly-Z+ and Fly-Z XL franchises - complement new Fly-Z irons and hybrids
New Cobra Fly-Z fairways and hybrids - all part of the Fly-Z, Fly-Z+ and Fly-Z XL franchises - have been released alongside the brand's Fly-Z drivers and Fly-Z irons.
The three new Fly-Z woods all feature Speed Channels to minimise face thickness, provide higher ball speeds and increase forgiveness on off-centre hits.
According to Cobra, a thin, high-strength steel face plate insert on the Fly-Z woods makes sweet spots 20% larger and 18% thinner than previous models.
A low, deep centre of gravity is employed alonside the thinner, stronger face and enlarged sweet spot to improve launch conditions, offer more forgiveness and increase distance.
Crown zone weighting in the fairways and two hybrids has allowed weight to be moved from the crown to the back of the head for improved launch conditions.

The Fly-Z+ fairway wood is an adjustable, compact and workable design that combines the Speed Channel with a more forward CG position that reduces spin.
The MyFly8 hosel enables golfers to choose from eight loft and trajectory settings.
The adjustable Fly-Z fairway wood and hybrid feature many of the same technlogies, but a further-back centre of gravity makes them slightly more forgiving.
What's more, the new Speed Channel face on the fairway facilitates increased flex for higher ball speeds and higher trajectories.
For the game improver, the Fly-Z XL fairway and hybrid incorporate an extreme low and back CG position with an offset head, to help beginners and those with slow swing speeds get the ball in the air.
Once again, a Speed Channel face is employed to offer distance through higher ball speeds.
