Just when golfers think their long round has come to a pleasant end at the 18th, they are greeted by this monster of a closing hole.
On a course that plays over 7,800 yards, to have this 663 yard par 5 to finish off the round is a killer.
Players must fight their natural tendency to play directly towards the green, off the tee, and must look to play their second shot well to the right.

The cluster of bunkers short of the green visually dominates the approach, but the players need to take care not to miss the green to the left, where the closely mown area will propel the ball well away from the green.
A par on this hole? I'm sure everyone in the field will take that when the US Open starts on 15th June.
