Westwood seeks advice from Darren Clarke
Psychologist brought in to help world number two win his first Major at Atlanta Athletic Club.
Lee Westwood has consulted the same psychologist used by British Open winner Darren Clarke as he looks to win his first Major this week.
The Yorkshireman has been seeing Dr Bob Rotella in a bid to improve the mental side of his game.
Since missing the cut at the British Open in July, he has also been seeing Dave Stockton to get some tips on his putting.
Stockton is the same coach that Rory McIlroy used before lifting the US Open trophy in June having collapsed on the back nine at Augusta.
Westwood says, "I haven't really worked with a psychologist before so it made sense to consult somebody.
"Darren is a good one to consult with regards to which psychologist would be the best, having been through all of them pretty much."
Talking about the changes it will make he says, "You will see me not trying. When you get into those positions just enjoy it and have a free, clear mind - and play like it doesn't really mean anything.
