Martin Kaymer believes it will be a week for high scoring in the 93rd USPGA Championship as he looks to defend his title.
Kaymer became only the second German to win a Major after Bernhard Langer when he beat Bubba Watson in a play-off at Whistling Straits last year.
Speaking from Atlanta Athletic Club, Georgia, he said: "It's a big week for me to defend my first Major. It will be interesting. It's a very difficult course, very long and very tight."
He will be hoping to emulate his success from last year but believes a single digits winning score is more likely. "I think that there won't be a lot of low scores. I can see why David Toms won here.
"He's not one of the longest hitters on tour, but he's very straight. However I don't see a guy winning here with 15-under-par, 16-under-par or 18-under-par. I struggle to see that."
Reflecting on his success last year he added: "The confidence that you gain from winning a Major. I never had that before, even when I played well.
"When you win a Major, that is world class. That gives you so much confidence and so much satisfaction."
