Hanbury Manor Hotel & Golf Club
A Jack Nicklaus creation, Hanbury Manor is one of the UK's finest golfing destinations, hosting the English Open between 1997 and 1999.
Just outside Ware in Hertfordshire, the 5-star Hanbury Manor is Marriott's flagship UK golf hotel, occupying 200 acres around the original Jacobean stately home. Golf at Hanbury has long had an association with Major Champions. Harry Vardon laid out a 9-hole course here in the early 1900s that gave way to an 18-hole Nicklaus creation, which tested Europe's finest from 1997 to 1999 in the English Open.
The rooms at Hanbury Manor are extremely well well presented and are designed to offer the best in everything right down to the Egyptian cotton bedding. You can choose from four eateries, including the Zodiac restaurant, proud holder of two AA rosettes.
