The Saint-Emilion Crus Classes trophy Pro Am is perfect for competitive golfers who love their wine and includes a two night stay at the luxury Château des Vigiers taking place on 3rd June to 5th June. By Elliott Heath
Château des Vigiers and the Saint-Emilion Grands Crus Classés Association have announced the fourth playing of the Saint-Emilion Crus Classés Trophy Pro Am in June later this year.
The weekend is perfect for competitive golfers who love their wine.
The “Golf and Wine” event was inaugurated in 2012 and features two competitive rounds: one as a team and one individual round as well as the chance to sample Saint-Emilion Grands Crus Classés’ wines throughout the stay.
The teams consist of six amateur players and one PGA professional.
Last year’s playing featured 11 teams in a truly international tournament featuring teams from the UK, Switzerland, Sweden, and the Netherlands.
Château des Vigiers is located 50 miles east of Bordeaux, near Bergerac in the Dordogne region of France famed for its wines.
The wine capital of Saint-Emilion is close by and the weekend revolves around their famous wines along with competitive golf on the course regarded as one the top 10 in the South-West region of France.
Entry to the Saint-Emilion Crus Classes trophy Pro-Am includes a two night stay with buffet breakfast, two rounds in the competition, a practice round, cocktail dinner with wine-tasting, a bottle of Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé wine per person, tees and balls, Périgourdine refreshment breaks and Saint-Emilion Grands Crus Classés wine tasting, a gala dinner, and prizes.
Individual package for a 2-night stay: €695 per person
Team Package 6 players for a 2-night stay: €625 per person.
