A guide to hole 11 at Whistling Straits, called Sand Box.
Whistling Straits hole by hole guide: hole 11 - Sand Box / 618 yards / Par 5
This extremely long par 5 will play as a three shot hole to most of players in the field, with only the longest most accurate being able to have a pop in two. Once your drive has safely been dispatched down the middle, your problems do not end there. A pin point lay up is required as any shot that is slightly tweaked will be swallowed up by a lengthy bunker that flanks the lay up zone of the fairway.
Make sure approach shots don't come up slightly short as any ball landing on the front of the green will not stay on the surface. Over aggressive shots will also be punished with sand waiting for you long of the green.
