‘I had an opportunity to make a dream come true’ - Jordan Spieth
Jordan Spieth dreams of Masters redemption after coming close in 2014
Jordan Spieth was 11 holes away from a green jacket at last years Masters. Now, he has his eyes set on redemption
"I had an opportunity to make a dream come true."
Jordan Spieth sat on the 8th at Augusta National a year ago, looking history in the face, with a two shot lead over Bubba Watson, just 11 holes away from becoming the youngest Masters champion in the history of the tournament.
But, Augusta got the best of the 20 year-old from Texas. Going to the back nine, Spieth was down two strokes, after bogeys on the 8th and 9th.
Watson birdied the pair of holes and went on to collect his second green jacket in three years
"I had it in my hands, and then I was just a little anxious,” said Spieth during his Tuesday press conference.
“You can make the excuse that as a first‑timer and whatever, 20 years old, that that's likely to happen. But in my mind, I was playing the best through whatever it was, 60 holes, 62 holes, and had an opportunity to continue that the next 10 or 11 holes and didn't quite close it out.”

Instead of being bitter, Spieth comes back to Augusta National with a fresh perspective on his game.
Despite being only a second year Masters player, Spieth has been taking time out to play with rookies to the course, dispensing advice about the course itself, and the aura of the tournament.
After playing a practice round with Morgan Hoffman and Brooks Koepka, Spieth admitted it can be slightly awkward to give advice to pros the same age or even older than he is.
“Sometimes it's odd when I'm speaking to them from an experience point of view, when I look at them as friends and kind of the same age. It can be a little weird.”
Spieth will play his first two rounds with Henrik Stenson and Billy Horschel. After last years runner up finish, Spieth is figured to be right in the thick of things come Sunday, as he is listed as a 10/1 favourite by the bookies.
