Adam Scott relishing Masters test
Australian Adam Scott is quietly confident ahead of the 2012 Masters at Augusta National in Georgia
Adam Scott believes his game is in good shape as he heads to Augusta National and attempts to become the first Australian to win the Masters.
He faces stiff competition from fellow Australian Jason Day, who finished in second place last year, and there are several other Australians in the field capable of mounting a charge for the Green Jacket.
Geoff Ogilvy, a former Major champion,Aaron Baddeley, a multiple PGA Tour victor, and John Senden will all participate in the 76th Masters.
But Scott believes his scheduling and practice routine this season will stand him in good stead for the 2012 Masters, despite concerns over his lack of competitive golf this year. He has played only eight rounds of competitive golf in 2012.
Scott said: "I'm just trying to keep myself fresh and have myself ready for the biggest events of the year.
"Playing well at Doral was all I needed to know that I am ready to be competitive so the last couple weeks has been all about preparation and practice," he added.
"When you play a slightly reduced schedule from other people, you have to be disciplined when you work at home.

"That's something I adopted last year and I found just as much satisfaction in the process and the practice as I get out of any result."
