The Masters 2024 key info

The first Major of the year is over and, as ever, the stunning Augusta National in Augusta, Georgia played host. The Golf Monthly team brought you all the latest from the 2024 Masters every step of the way.

Scottie Scheffler managed to secure his second Green Jacket with a vintage display of patience and high-quality golf, seeing off a handful of his rivals such as Ludvig Aberg, Max Homa, Collin Morikawa, Tommy Fleetwood, and Xander Schauffele over the course of a thrilling weekend.

2023 champion Jon Rahm was one a number of LIV Golfers in the Masters field this year, with the first men's Major once again the first event of the year where PGA Tour and LIV Golf League players compete against each other in the same field.

Augusta National is one of the most famous golfing venues on the planet, designed by Bobby Jones and Alister MacKenzie it has seen much drama over the decades.

Jack Nicklaus has won The Masters on the most occasions with six victories, while Tiger Woods will still be hoping to have another crack at winning another after he dramatically won his fifth Green Jacket in 2019.

Tiger Woods was back in the field this year after he withdrew prior to the final day's place in 2023, leading to ankle surgery and an eight-month layoff. He once again broke another record - most consecutive cuts at The Masters - to deepen his place in all-time golfing folklore.

Every year Rory McIlroy is one of the players that most comes under the microscope – he needs an Augusta victory to complete the career Grand Slam. The Northern Irishman has come close on several occasions, no closer than in 2011 when he led by four shots going into the final round only to lose by ten strokes after a disastrous back nine. He also shot 64 during the final round in 2022 to record his best finish of 2nd behind Scheffler.
