1. Talor Keith Gooch was born on 14 November 1991 in Midwest City, Oklahoma, where he still resides today.
2. He went to Carl Albert High School and Oklahoma State University.
3. At age nine, when he won a US Kids Golf World Championship, Talor started thinking about life on the PGA Tour. He grew up playing many sports, and played in the Little League World Series when he was 12.
4. Gooch turned professional in 2014 after a successful college career. He was named first-team All-Big 12 selection as a sophomore in 2012 and was runner-up at the Big 12 Championship.
5. His dream foursome would include his dad, Kelsey Cline and Steve Ball.

6. His father, Ron Gooch, spent five seasons in the minor league system at the Texas Rangers.
7. Talor’s name is intentionally spelled without a ‘y’ thanks to a family custom on his mom’s side of the family, in which names are often spelled, as he describes it, “weird”. His mother’s name is Ambre, while his sister’s name is Cassidi.

8. His favorite sports team is the Dallas Cowboys.
9. He uses a quarter from the 1960s as a ball marker.
10. One of his local friends is Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto, whom he has known since playing baseball together as nine-year-olds.
11. Gooch married his wife, Ally, in 2019. They have two children.
12. His caddie is Malcolm ‘Mal’ Baker, an Australian former professional who has previously carried the bag for Ian Baker-Finch and Tom Hoge. They have worked together since the start of Gooch’s pro career.
13. He earned his PGA Tour card for the 2017-18 season after finishing sixth in the season-long Web.com Tour (now Korn Ferry Tour) standings, thanks to winning the News Sentinel Open in August 2017.
14. In November 2021, Gooch won his first PGA Tour event at the RSM Classic, winning by three strokes over Mackenzie Hughes.
15. He joined LIV Golf in 2022, finishing ninth at the first LIV event in London.
16. He won three times on LIV Golf in 2023 (Adelaide, Singapore and Andalucia) and finished first on the season-long points race, which came with an $18 million bonus. He earned more than $35 million that year.
17. Gooch has earned over $9 million on the PGA Tour. As of the end of 2023, Gooch has earned the most in prize money out of all LIV Golf players, winning almost $48m since joining the Saudi-backed tour.
