Lucas Glover is a six-time winner on the PGA Tour. He is best known for his victory at the 2009 US Open at Bethpage Black, where he beat Ricky Barnes, Phil Mickelson and David Duval by two strokes.

1. Lucas Hendley Glover was born in Greenville, South Carolina on 12 November 1979.
2. He resides in Tequesta, Florida.
3. Glover's biological father is called Ron Musselman, a former baseball player. But once Lucas' mother remarried to a man called Jim Glover, Lucas adopted his surname.
4. He attended Clemson University where he was named first-team All-American in 2000 and 2001. He also represented the United States at the Walker Cup in 2001.
5. His first year on the PGA Tour was in 2004, but despite earning over $500,000 dollars, he had to go back to Q-School. He managed to again earn his card and improved massively in 2005.

6. In that 2005 season he had his first win on the PGA Tour at the FUNAI Classic at the Walt Disney World Resort. He has gone on to win six titles on the tour.

7. Lucas credits his start in golf to his grandfather. His grandfather is believed to have given him a cut down club when he was three years old and first took him to The Masters at the age of 6.
8. His best world ranking is 15th.
9. He is married to his wife Krista, who famously made headlines after the 2018 Players Championship. She was charged with battery and resisting an officer. Lucas and Krista have two children together named Lucille and Lucas Glover Jr.

10. Glover’s big moment came in 2009 when he became a surprise winner at the 2009 US Open at Bethpage Black. He was ranked 71st in the world at the time and had not made the cut at the US Open in his previous three attempts. The tournament was best remembered for the hideous weather that hit the area and would eventually push the tournament to be finished on Monday instead of the usual Sunday.
11. In July 2021, Glover ended his drought of 10 years without a win on the PGA Tour with victory at the John Deere Classic.
12. After struggling for years with the putting yips, Glover switched to a long putter – and a new split-handed grip – similar to the one used by Adam Scott, and he immediately found more success on the greens.
13. In August 2023, Glover became the third player in his 40s to win back-to-back weeks on the PGA Tour in the last 25 years, when he took out the Wyndham Championship and the FedEx St. Jude Championship.
14. He has made over $34 million in prize money over his career.
15. Glover is an avid reader. He revealed that he read four books during the week of his rainy 2009 U.S. Open win.
16. He has been endorsed by Callaway, TaylorMade, and Titleist during his career. He is currently sponsored by Srixon for his equipment and sports the company’s logo on his hat.
17. He has represented USA in the 2007 and 2009 Presidents Cups.
18. He is 6'2" and weighs 195lbs.
19. As one of the older guys on tour, Glover isn’t the longest off the tee. He averaged 294.9 yards in the 2023/24 season, but was the fifth best in driving accuracy at 68.86 per cent.
20. Glover's caddie is veteran looper Tom Lamb, who has been on the bag for Brad Faxon, Steve Stricker and Jay Haas.

Glover averaged 294.9 with his driver in 2023. Well into his 40s, Glover hasn’t lost the length he had when he won the US Open in 2009, when he averaged 297.4 yards for the season. In recent years, he has become one of the most accurate drivers on tour, finishing in 13th and fifth in the 2022 and 2023 seasons respectively.
