Stacy Lewis is one of the most recognisable faces in the women's game, with a career spanning more than 15 years which has included two Major titles and a spell as the World No.1. Find out more about her via these facts.

1. Stacy Lewis was born on February 16, 1985 in Toledo, Ohio.
2. She started playing golf at the age of eight and credits her parents as the individuals who influenced her career most.
3. From the age of 11, Lewis wore a back brace for nearly seven years to correct a curvature in her spine from scoliosis, removing it only to play golf.
4. Lewis grew up in Texas and graduated from The Woodlands High School in 2003. Because of her scoliosis, she missed her first collegiate golf season recovering from the surgery.
5. She enjoyed a fantastic amateur career winning 12 collegiate events and becoming a four-time All-American.
6. In 2008, she became the first player to go 5-0 in the Curtis Cup. In that time, she was also the world number one ranked amateur.

7. Lewis attended the University of Arkansas and graduated with a bachelor's degree in finance and accounting.
8. Turning professional in 2008, she led the US Women's Open after the third round. She eventually finished in third position.
9. She earned a spot on the LPGA Tour in 2009.
10. Lewis would secure her first LPGA title, and first Major, at the 2011 Kraft Nabisco Championship, holding off Yani Tseng to win by three shots.
11. From April 2012 to March 2013, Lewis won six times on the LPGA Tour, in the process moving to number one in the world rankings.
12. Later that year she secured her second Major at the Women's Open Championship, played on the Old Course at St Andrews.
13. In 2016, Lewis married her husband, Gerrod Chadwell, who is the University of Houston women's golf coach. Together, they have a daughter, Chesnee Lynn.
14. Before the 2017 Cambia Portland Classic began, Lewis pledged whatever she made would go towards charities helping the victims of Hurricane Harvey. She won the event for her first pro triumph in three years and consequently donated $195,000 to charity. That figure was matched by her main sponsor, KPMG, leading to a total donation of $390,000.
15. In 2020, Lewis won her first title in almost three years with a playoff victory in the Ladies Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club.
16. Lewis has been part of four Solheim Cup teams as a player, winning it twice in 2015 and 17.
17. Lewis captained USA at the 2023 and 2024 Solheim Cups. Her debut as boss ended in a thrilling 14-14 tie at Finca Cortesin as Europe retained the trophy.
18. She is a two-time LPGA Tour Player of the Year recipient. Lewis took the title in both 2012 and 2014, with the first of those awards ending the USA's 18-year wait since Beth Daniels in 1994.
19. Lewis represented the USA at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. She finished in a tie for fourth.
20. Lewis has earned more than $14.5 million during her playing career.

Lewis has collected $14,577,203 throughout her pro career, which began in 2008.
Her two single-biggest pay days arrived after her Major victories, with $300,000 banked after winning the 2011 Kraft Nabisco Championship and $402,584 earned following the 2013 Women's Open.
In 2014, Lewis topped the LPGA Tour's Official Money List with $2,539,039 thanks to three wins in the season.

Matt joined Golf Monthly in February 2021 covering weekend news, before also transitioning to equipment and testing. After freelancing for Golf Monthly and The PGA for 18 months, he was offered a full-time position at the company in October 2022 and continues to cover weekend news and social media, as well as help look after Golf Monthly’s many buyers’ guides and equipment reviews.
Taking up the game when he was just seven years of age, Matt made it into his county squad just a year later and continues to play the game at a high standard, with a handicap of around 2-4. To date, his best round came in 2016, where he shot a six-under-par 66 having been seven-under through nine holes. He currently plays at Witney Lakes in Oxfordshire and his favourite player is Rory McIlroy, despite nearly being struck by his second shot at the 17th during the 2015 BMW PGA Championship.
