Scottie Scheffler has enjoyed a meteoric rise to the top of the sport since turning professional in 2018 and is now regarded as one of the very best players in the game.
The American won an incredible four PGA Tour titles in just six starts in the early part of 2022, including The Masters at Augusta National where he sealed his maiden Major title. He also reached the World No.1 spot at that point, just four years into his professional career.
Then, in 2024, Scheffler went on another outstanding winning run by scooping six victories in 10 starts - including his second Masters title.

1. Scottie's hometown is Dallas, Texas, but he was born in New Jersey on June 21, 1996.
2. As a youngster, he played a lot of pick-up basketball but golf was the sport he loved the most. He does still try and play pick-up basketball today though.
3. He is very afraid of heights.

4. His lucky number is 13.
5. He thinks Michael Jordan is the greatest athlete ever, but his favourite athlete growing up was New York Yankees baseball player Derek Jeter.
6. To go along with basketball, he also likes to play table tennis a lot too. Scheffler says Doug Ghim is a really good player as is Bryson DeChambeau, who he partnered with to win a point at the 2021 Ryder Cup.
7. Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma is his favorite golf course.
8. He qualified for the 2016 US Open at the age of 19. He opened with a 69 but went on to miss the cut by one stroke after a second round of 78.
9. He qualifed for the US Open again in 2017, at Erin Hills, and went on to win the low amateur honours.
10. Scheffler attended the University of Texas and graduated with a degree in Finance. He was named Phil Mickelson Freshman of the Year while at college and was part of the Longhorns team that won three Big 12 championships.
11. He represented USA at the 2017 Walker Cup at Los Angeles Country Club, with the likes of Collin Morikawa, Will Zalatoris and Cameron Champ also featuring. USA won 19-7 versus the GB&I side.
12. He earned his 2019 Korn Ferry Tour card via qualifying school and went on to become both the Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year. He won twice and earned his card for the 2020 PGA Tour season.
13. Scheffler then went on to become PGA Tour Rookie of the Year in 2020.
14. He started 2022 with zero PGA Tour wins and at 13th in the world, but by April he had won four PGA Tour titles, including The Masters, and was World No.1.
15. He was named PGA Tour Player of the Year for 2022.
16. His favourite TV show is The Office and he says it is tough to beat Dwight Schrute as a character.
17. Scheffler is a TaylorMade staff player, having signed with the brand in 2022. He was previously an equipment free agent with a very mixed bag of clubs. He wears Nike apparel and shoes. His shoes are the Nike Air Zoom Tiger Woods model and he also uses TaylorMade P7TW (Tiger Woods) irons. He's previously worn TW Nike apparel, too.
18. He always uses the same coin when he plays. It is a bicentennial quarter commemorating American independence in 1776.
19. His favourite club in the bag is his 60 degree wedge.
20. The restaurant he goes to the most in the US is Chipotle.
21. In 2024, Scheffler dominated the men's game for a period by picking up six victories in 10 starts between March 10 - June 23 - including his second Masters title. Then, in August, he won Olympic gold by one stroke over England's Tommy Fleetwood.
22. His home course in Dallas is Royal Oaks Country Club.
23. He has had five hole-in-ones.
24. His favourite candy is Reese's, a brand famous for mixing peanut butter with chocolate.
25. Scheffler is a Christian and he prays often.
26. His caddie is Bubba Watson's former bag man Ted Scott. The pair linked up towards the end of 2021, with Scheffler reportedly telling Scott: “I really want to work with a Christian. That’s how I try to live my life.”
27. Before the second round of the 2024 PGA Championship, Scheffler was arrested and charged with four offences amid confusion over instructions from a law enforcement officer near the gates to Valhalla Golf Club. He was released from jail in time to play his second-round before all charges were later dropped.
28. He made his Ryder Cup debut in the postponed 2021 match at Whistling Straits. He won 2.5 points out of three matches, which included a 4&3 victory over Jon Rahm in the singles. Scheffler was then a part of the Team USA side which lost to Europe at Marco Simone in 2023.
29. His shoe size is 11.5.
30. Scheffler shot the 11th 59 in PGA Tour history in 2020 during the second round of The Northern Trust at TPC Boston.
