Russell Henley is one of the most consistent golfers in the men's game, yet he is arguably not as well-known as many other players on tour. If you want to know a little bit more about him, keep reading to find out.

1. His full name is Russell Chaplin Henley.

2. Henley was born in Macon, Georgia on 12 April 1989.

3. He went to the University of Georgia, which has a prestigious golf program. There, he studied Consumer Economics and graduated in 2011.

4. In 2010, Henley won the Fred Haskins Award as the nation's most outstanding collegiate golfer.

5. For the 2009-2010 season, he was named Georgia's Student-Athlete of the year after helping the Georgia Bulldogs win the SEC title in his junior and senior years. He claimed medalist honors as a junior.

6. Henley's four PGA Tour victories arrived at the 2013 Sony Open in Hawaii, 2014 Honda Classic, 2017 Shell Houston Open and 2022 World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba.

7. By March 2025, he had made over $33m in official PGA Tour career earnings.

8. The American is an avid guitar player and has played onstage with O.A.R. and Darius Rucker at PGA Tour events.

9. Henley currently resides on Kiawah Island in South Carolina, a resort which famously has the Ocean Course, one of the hardest golf courses in the US. It has played host to a Ryder Cup and two PGA Championships.

13. He established the Kevin Brown Celebrity Classic Golf Tournament to benefit the Macon Rescue Mission and FCA, which gives medical care to those in need in his hometown.

16. He graduated from the Web.com Tour (now the Korn Ferry Tour) by finishing third on the money list in 2012.

17. He represented the US in the 2024 Presidents Cup at Royal Montreal Golf Club, where he scored three points as his team beat the Internationals.
