Open Championship Golf Betting Tips 2019 Advised Bets
Hopefully you guys are on Lowry since the post first round pick. He is the clear leader and has a great chance going into the final round even with bad weather about.
Final Round Picks
Brooks Koepka 5 points to win at 10/1 with Sportnation.bet - if anyone is going to stick it out he might be the one. Have been waiting for him to get longer than this, but the value is just about there if you want him.
Danny Willett 1 point each way at 200/1 with Sportnation.bet – Played superbly today to shoot 65 and to get into contention. He might be able to survive the testing final day conditions.
Russell Knox 0.5 points each way at 400/1 with Sportnation.bet – The Scot might be able to hold on if the weather gets really bad tomorrow. Very very long shout.
Post Cut Picks
Matt Kuchar 3 points each way at 33/1 with Sportnation.bet – Three under par today and just four back – love him at these odds.
Rickie Fowler 2 points each way at 40/1 with Sportnation.bet – Three under par for the tournament, a player that has the obvious talent to win The Open and of course loves links golf.
Lucas Bjerregaard 2 points each way at 66/1 with Sportnation.bet – The Dane was very impressive today – is four under par and just four back. Yes please!
Alex Noren 1 point each way at 100/1 with Sportnation.bet – Another player who is nicely set in the pack at three under. Very decent odds for a player who has won the Scottish Open.
Post Round 1 Picks
Shane Lowry 5 points each way at 14/1 with Sportnation.bet – Really think that he has a great chance of winning - can battle through tough conditions, which he showed when winning the Irish Open as an amateur.
Lee Westwood 2 points each way at 40/1 with Sportnation.bet – Rolled back the years with a three under par first round - could enjoy good conditions in the morning.
Kiradech Aphibarnrat 1 point each way at 80/1 with Sportnation.bet – Only two shots back - is a decent links player and didn't have a bogey in his first round.
Eddie Pepperell 1 point each way at 80/1 with Sportnation.bet – Only four shots back the Englishman is playing very solid golf - think he will feature on Sunday.
Andrea Pavan 1 point each way at 400/1 with Sportnation.bet – Slightly left field - but one of the Golf Monthly ad team who had been in the Bushmills tent said he saw Pavan and the BMW International Winner's short game looked sharp.
Pre Tournament Picks
Rory McIlroy - 10 points to win at 8/1 with Sportnation.bet – I just cannot ignore him - 11 top 10s this year with two wins - been playing his best golf in years. He has been targeting this tournament ever since it was announced Royal Portrush was announced. Will have incredible support and if he was to win it would be his greatest ever. I for one will be cheering him on all the way.
Henrik Stenson - 3 points each way at 33/1 with Sportnation.bet – The 2016 Open Champion had been having a slow season but now has three top 10s and could be coming in to form at the perfect time.
Matthew Fitzpatrick - 2 points each way at 50/1 with Sportnation.bet – The Englishman has good pedigree on links courses - has had two runner-up finishes this year. The introduction of Billy Foster on his bag could be the key to unlocking a Major for the five time European Tour winner.
Tyrrell Hatton 2 points each way at 66/1 with Sportnation.bet – I just cannot ignore the Englishman - such is his results on links courses - two Dunhill Links Championship wins, and top 5s in the Irish and Scottish Opens and at the 2016 Open Championship.
Bernd Wiesberger 1 point each way at 80/1 with Sportnation.bet – The Austrian has turned a corner - with three top 10s including a win in his last five tournaments. I am writing this on Friday night where he has just shot 61 to lead the Scottish Open.
Jazz Janewattananond 1 point each way at 200/1 with Sportnation.bet – This guy is a seriously good golfer and these odds are far too long for him. He has a huge lead on the Asian Order Of Merit has had 10 top 10s including two wins and sits just outside the world's top 50. As outsiders go he is a decent shout at this price!
Please bet responsibly and the best of luck. 18+. Terms and Conditions apply.
