Hole 7 – Par 4 – 480 yards
With the addition of the new tee, this par 4 will play at least 27 yards longer than the 2006 Open Championship held at Royal Liverpool. The landing area of the 7th hole is protected by bunkers and a particularly deep rough on both sides. A drive down the right hand side of the fairway arguably offers the best angle for the approach shot. Like the 1st hole, most competitors will be pleased to make par on this hole.
