Hole 12 – Par 4 – 447 yards
This hole saw 138 bogeys along with 15 double bogeys in the 2006 Open Championship, making it the most challenging hole on the course. With the sharp dogleg on the left competitors are left to aim for the right hand side, where they are met with deep set bunkers aimed to catch errant tee shots. The putting surface on the green slopes markedly from back to front; the green itself is raised.
