Open 2015 players: Africa
Within the African continent the two players to watch out for are South African internationals Ernie Els and Louis Oosthuizen. Oosthuizen with a current ranking of 16th in the world is the main threat having already won the 2010 Open Championship - see the video below.
This year having come 2nd in the US Open and within the top 20 in the Masters Tournament he could prove to be a very influential player in this year’s Open.
Ernie Els also has Open Championships under his belt having won in both 2002 and 2012. On top of this, he managed top 10 finishes in the years 2000, 2001, 2004 and then 2006 through to 2009. However this year he has seemed slightly shaky having come outside the top 50 in the US Open and 22nd in the Masters.
Nonetheless Els is also no doubt a strong contender for the number one spot next week.
