Matt Fitzpatrick To Debut Castore Golf Apparel At The Masters
Premium British sportswear brand Castore has announced seven-time DP world tour winner and two-time Ryder Cup player Matt Fitzpatrick as an ambassador. Fitzpatrick will be making his debut as a Castore athlete at the first golf Major of the year, The Masters. The new partnership will showcase Castore’s latest innovation in golf performance clothing, specifically the shirts, trousers, sweaters, waterproofs and accessories. The Castore SS22 golf apparel collection boasts a range of garments featuring advanced engineering and unique technical fabrics, all designed to optimise freedom of movement while delivering unrivalled comfort, fit and performance.
Fitzpatrick joins a growing list of Castore athletes and partners including tennis legend Sir Andy Murray, big-hitting cricketer Jos Buttler, rugby star Owen Farrell and teams including the McLaren Formula 1 team, Newcastle United and England Cricket to name a few.
At The Masters, which starts on Thursday, Fitzpatrick will debut the latest Castore SS22 golf apparel, including some bright and eye-catching colourway polos with the brand's slim-fit chinos. He’ll be wearing two of the polos from the new Castore range when he tees it up at Augusta National. Thursday will see him in the Fiesta Geo Short Sleeve Polo , Friday will see him wear the same polo in the Azure and Sunday he'll wear the Moss colourway. The Geo Short Sleeve polo is a lightweight and breathable garment made using recycled fabric. It also uses an anti-odour finish which is designed for the full range of movement in every swing.
He'll also be wearing the Fiesta Vita Polo on Saturday, which utilises a high-stretch pique knit as well as an anti-odour and anti-bacterial finish to make a very versatile and striking polo shirt for all conditions.
Through the week he’ll be wearing the Golf Nevis Chinos which are a lightweight, performance golf trouser. The trousers have high stretch and breathable fabric with an elasticated waistband to keep comfortable throughout the swing. Depending on the weather throughout Masters week, Fitzpatrick will also be seen in the Pro Tek Quarter Zip Midlayer, the Vita ¼ zip and the Panel ¼ zip. The world number 25 will be looking to better his best ever finish of T7th at the 2016 event and is coming off the back of four top 10 finishes so far this year.
Co-founder of Castore, Tom Beahon, said: “We are incredibly proud to announce the addition of Matt Fitzpatrick to Castore’s growing portfolio of world-class British athletes. Matt is an incredibly consistent and talented golfer who is only just entering the prime of his career. His professionalism and work ethic both on and off the course is the epitome of Castore’s ‘Better Never Stops’ ethos and exactly why we wanted to partner with Matt, as we look to drive our growth in the global golf performance apparel market.
Matt Fitzpatrick said, “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Castore. It’s an incredibly exciting time to be teaming up with a young British premium sportswear brand who are pushing the boundaries of performance innovation. I’m looking forward to working with the Castore team and their impressive list of athletes and partners. I can’t wait to get started.”
