Allisen Corpuz is a rising star of American golf and could already count herself as a Major champion, just a couple of years after turning pro. Discover more about her life and career via these facts.

Allisen Corpuz Facts

1. Allisen Corpuz was born on March 20, 1998 in Honolulu, Hawaii.

2. Her dad is from the Philipines while her mom was born in South Korea. As a result, Allisen identifies as Filipino-Korean-American. Corpuz also has an older brother.

3. Corpuz credits her dad with getting her into golf, stating that she began playing at four or five years old and initially "sucked."

4. Corpuz is a Hawaii native and attended Punahou School in Honolulu, which we believe is the same high school that Michelle Wie West and former President of the United States, Barack Obama went to.

5. She was a three-time American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) All-American as a result of posting nine top-10 finishes in AJGA majors and over 15 top-five results in AJGA competitions.

6. In 2008, she surpassed fellow Hawaii native Michelle Wie West as the youngest qualifier in US Women’s Amateur Public Links history at 10 years, three months and nine days.

7. Corpuz won the 2014 Hawaii State Open and also represented Hawaii in the 2014 Asia Pacific Junior Cup.

8. As a high school senior in 2016, she was runner-up at the Canadian Women's Amateur Championship and also won the Hawaii State High School Championship.

9. Before college, Corpuz had played in six USGA championships - including three US Women's Opens (2016, 2018, 2020) - the second most ever.

10. She played collegiate golf at the University of Southern California (USC) and was a two-time All-American. Additionally, she won three times in her career as a Trojan.

11. Corpuz finished runner-up to Rachel Kuehn in the 2020 North and South Women's Amateur at Pinehurst Resort, losing on the first extra hole.

12. Corpuz graduated from USC in 2021 with a Masters in Global Supply Chain Management, a Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics, and a Graduate Certificate in Sustainability and Business.

13. Corpuz was a member of the winning 2021 Curtis Cup team. During the event, she went undefeated with a 3-0-0 but did not play any of the two foursome sessions. She partnered Rose Zhang to two fourball victories.

14. As an amateur, she rose to a highest position of seventh in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.

15. Corpuz turned professional in 2021 and finished T16 at Q-School to earn LPGA Tour membership for 2022. During her first season, she made 17 of 21 cuts and finished 41st in the overall rankings.

16. She has an equipment partnership with Ping and, as a result, plays a full bag of clubs from the brand.

17. Corpuz made her Solheim Cup debut for Team USA at the 2023 event, going 2-1-1 as Europe retained the trophy thanks to a 14-14 tie.

18. Corpuz has been with her partner, Daniel Eckstrom since at least 2015, with Eckstrom working as a Captain in the military. The pair got engaged in December 2023.

19. Corpuz has one professional win - and it was a big one, the 2023 US Women's Open. She triumphed by three strokes over Charley Hull and Jiyai Shin and consequently rose to World No.8.

20. As of August 2024, she has career earnings of $4.34 million.
