A Canadian professional golfer who has been competing on the PGA Tour for a number of years now, Adam Hadwin has achieved some brilliant things in the game of golf. Get to know him better via these facts regarding his life and career to date.

1. His full name is Adam Jerald Hadwin.
2. Hadwin was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada on November 2, 1987.
3. His father Gerry is a golf club professional who joined the Canadian PGA in 1979.
4. As a child, baseball was Hadwin's favorite sport to play.
5. He grew up playing at Ledgeview Golf Club and one particular clubmate was another top young player, Nick Taylor, a three-time winner on the PGA Tour.
6. Hadwin went to the University of Louisville and studied Business Administration before earning All-America honors and graduating in 2009.

7. The Canadian turned pro after leaving college in 2009 and began his career on the Vancouver Golf Tour, where he went on to win four times, including his maiden pro success at the Ledgeview Open.
8. After joining the PGA Tour Canada in 2010, he made his PGA Tour debut at the RBC Canadian Open and went on to win the Rivermead Cup as the top Canadian (-5, T37th). The following year, he ended T4th to retain the Cup.
9. Hadwin was named PGA Tour Canada Rookie of the Year in 2010, helped by his victory at the Desert Dunes Classic and 10 top-10s otherwise.
10. Following a couple of seasons on the Web.com Tour, Hadwin finally claimed his maiden victory at the 2014 Chile Classic. His second win arrived at the Chiquita Classic around six months later.

11. Hadwin earned his PGA Tour card ahead of the 2015 campaign after topping the Web.com Tour money list in 2014.
12. His favorite college team is the Louisville Cardinals, but in terms of professional sports teams, he follows the Vancouver Canucks (NHL), Toronto Blue Jays (MLB) and New England Patriots (NFL).
13. His bucket list includes skydiving, bungee jumping and visiting the Great Wall of China.
14. Hadwin claimed what is, to date, his sole PGA Tour victory at the 2017 Valspar Championship. He won the event by one stroke from Patrick Cantlay. Hadwin later lost in a playoff at the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic.
15. Also in 2017, he shot a 59 (13-under par) during the third round of the CareerBuilder Challenge at La Quinta Country Club. He ultimately ended the event as the runner-up.

16. Hadwin has competed in two Presidents Cup. The first came in 2017 at Liberty National in New Jersey, and he then played in 2019 at Royal Melbourne in Australia. In 2017 he played in three matches and won half a point, and in 2019 he also played three matches but contributed 1.5 points.
17. Hadwin married wife Jessica (formerly Kippenberger) in 2017. The couple are well known for their humorous exchanges on social media.
18. The Canadian says if he wasn't a professional golfer he would be a chef. He said he loves trying new things in the kitchen and creating new things to eat.
19. Hadwin supports the C.H.I.L.D Foundation, supporting Crohn's disease research, an ailment his brother has.

20. His best-ever result at a Major was T7th at the 2022 US Open. Hadwin led the championship after round one.
21. Hadwin went viral in 2023 after being tackled to the ground by event security when trying to celebrate Nick Taylor's home playoff victory on the 18th green.
22. Most people don't know that he was awarded a Kentucky Colonel. It is awarded in the name of the Commonwealth by the governor of Kentucky to "civilians aged 18 or over for noteworthy accomplishments, contributions to civil society, remarkable deeds, or outstanding service to the community, state, or a nation."
