Take control of the situation
John Jacobs explains how being in the correct frame of mind will help your game.

There are certain things you can't control - the weather, the amount of sand in the bunkers, pin placements and the lie of your ball on the fairway.
You need to ensure that these factors do not take control of the way you feel.
If you react angrily or despondently to these factors, your game will suffer accordingly.
If you remain calm and relaxed within yourself, you'll be in a far better mindset to cope with these uncontrollable factors.
