Hazeltine National Golf Club Course Guide: Hole 7
The seventh at Hazeltine is a beautiful par 4 and the first sight of Lake Hazeltine
A guide to the seventh hole at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Minnesota ahead of the 41st Ryder Cup from 30th Sept - 2nd October
Hazeltine National Golf Club Course Guide: Hole 7
Hole 7 - Par 4 - 402 yards
The beautiful par 4 seventh at Hazeltine is the first sight of water for players and spectators.
Although not long in length, this hole can be tricky.
For the world's best players it's not much more than a hybrid and a wedge, but the tee shot must stay right of the creek down the left and avoid the thick rough to the right.
The green is narrow and angles away from the players, and flag positions on the right really do bring Hazeltine Lake into play.

This should be a relatively simple par 4, and will be if two good shots are hit, but don't be surprised to see some high numbers.
