Golf Street Sport golf shoes
Golf Monthly Senior Staff Writer Paul O'Hagan tests the Ecco Golf Street Sport shoes
GM verdict: Many golfers are now aware of the benefits from lightweight, spikeless shoes, but some are, understandably, still wary of sacrificing stability or grip. The Ecco Street design, however, provides more stability and grip than the majority of spikeless designs. This Sport version gets the balance of modern but understated styling just right. They also offer more protection from the elements than most. An excellent shoe that continues to be tweaked and improved. But... although these are some of the best spikeless designs around, there are still certain weather conditions that require ?a spiked shoe with added grip. PGA PRO Verdict: These Ecco Street Sport shoes are stylish, comfortable and clearly excellent quality. During play they gave me all the stability that I needed and remained comfortable throughout my round, and I didn?t even need to change them once I came off the course because they were so comfortable. They also kept their shape well after prolonged use, which is always a sign of great quality. This Street style is becoming very popular, with almost every brand producing a spikeless version but, for me, this particular model is hard to beat. Test Team Rating: Performance: 4.5/5 Durability: 4/5 Innovation: 4.5/5 Value: 5/5 Overall: 4.5/5
