Why you can trust Golf Monthly
If Aston Martin produced a pair of golf shoes they would look like this. Everything about the Duca Del Cosma Alexa shoe embodies quality, from the luxurious looks to the impressive performance, putting these in the discussion for the best women’s golf shoes on the market this year.
If you visit the Duca Del Cosma website you’ll see an elegantly dressed, beautiful model sporting this award-winning pair of shoes on the homepage. They are the epitome of elegance and most certainly styled with the up-market country club player in mind.
The selection of color choices includes my favorite, this delicate dusty pink. Other options are white, and a highly fashionable taupe/cheetah combination. Sizes available are 3-9.
There’s an added touch of sparkle on the toe cap, with shimmer effect, which really dazzles in the sunlight and the Italian flag embossed just above the laces as a classy reminder of the origins of the design. I think a supermodel would look perfect waltzing down a catwalk in Milan wearing these.
The Alexa is made from luxury leather that wipes clean easily so you won’t regret playing golf in them on a slightly damp day. I instantly noticed the wonderful smell of high quality leather and the luxurious feel when I removed the shoe from its equally fancy presentation box.
Adding that final seal of approval to an already sensational shoe is the fact that the Alexa is made from a high percentage of recycled materials. A big tick in the box for environmental sustainability.
Aside from shelf appeal these shoes are also packed with performance attributes. They are fully waterproof and have a breathable design so your feet won’t get sticky on a hot day. A soft Arneflex memory foam insole with recycled cork gives them an incredibly comfortable feel and the spikeless Airplay outsole does exactly what it describes, gives you the feeling of walking on air, bouncing down the fairways with a spring in your step like wearing your most comfortable pair of trainers. These are certainly one of the most comfortable golf shoes for women that I have tested.
I love the style of the dotty spikeless sole, which encircles the heel of the shoe for that added grip in your downswing, allowing you to make a very stable, powerful golf swing move.
If ever there was a more desirable pair of golf shoes than these I challenge you to find them. If money is no object then I have absolutely no doubt that you will want to own a pair this season.
