Evnroll ER11vx Putter Review
Discover why the Evnroll ER11vx was selected for Editor's Choice in 2022
The Evnroll ER11vx putter is the extended version of the ER11v putter that comprises a large mallet head with additional 303 stainless steel weights in the rear corners of each side. This increases the MOI of the ER11v head further so make it more stable and forgiving on off-center hits. (This makes it ideal for high handicap players.)
Like all Evnroll putters there is a choice of hosel options and the ER11vx includes the latest addition of the short slant hosel pictured here. This creates 15° of toe hang and combined with the high MOI head means that Evnroll claim to have eliminated the pull miss from your game.
The main part of the head is made from black anodized 6061 aluminum, which is lighter than the silver steel to create this high MOI head. The face features the Evnroll Sweet Face design where the variable width and depth grooves aim to reduce the dispersion in distance and accuracy that happens if you hit the ball off centre on the club face.
Certainly on the green this is a forgiving and very large head for a mallet putter. The thick white alignment line goes the full depth and draws your eyes to ensuring that the putter is pointing where you want the ball to go.
The benefits of this are subtle, but the ER11vx putter is very consistent and has one of the best putter faces in the market from one of the most innovative putter designers in Guerin Rife. The all metal milled face has 2° of loft and gives a solid feel and the roll is very good.
In the sole is a hollow circle that not only helps with the MOI by moving weight to the sides. It's a way to pick up the ball without bending down, hopefully after your putt has been conceded. It is a good feature and you can hear it too, as the round void in the sole does create a slightly hollow and higher pitched sound at impact than most putters, but nothing that should put you off choosing it.
The Evnroll ER11vx putter is ideal for those who like big mallets with bold alignment lines. It’s not only a good looking putter in a high MOI design, but also brings the technology as the Sweet Face grooves will help you putt more consistently and accurately.
