Offering phenomenal traction and a running shoe appearance these shoes will not disappoint when it comes to versatility. These shoes have a feel of a high end trainer. With lightweight performance mesh you’d be forgiven for mistaking them for something you’d run a marathon in. The mesh is soft to touch and covers just over half of the front of each shoe. All over mesh can be a bit of a dirt grabber, so these I feel are perfectly balanced.

Fit wise they grip a hold of your foot through the heel and my ankle feels really supported in these during my swing. The EVA midsole means the bounce as you walk in these is sublime. I remember this feeling when I used to put my new trainers on for basketball. I love that FootJoy have captured the same sensation in these shoes especially because I coach on fairly hilly courses. They're so easy to get your foot into and the lined heels offer comfort and high end support. The heel feels it cinches into help grab your foot and keep it in place whilst remaining comfortable

I’ve been a fan of the Flex range for some time and these newest models did not disappoint. Yes there are others on the market such as the G/FORE MG4X2 Hybrid Golf Cross Trainer which offers similar versatility. But I am not sure you can beat the fact that these clean up so well.

The fit is very true to size and they’re comfortable straight out of the box. I’ll admit to using these for everything including wearing them with jeans on a night out. These are a sporty and sexy looking trainer style golf shoe. My friends constantly ask me where I get my sneakers from, and are always surprised when I say they’re spikeless golf shoes

The Flex are versatile shoes that lasts ages. I still have Flex models from 3 years ago and they go through the washing machine on a cold wash expertly. Coming out looking brand spanking new.

These black ones will come with the benefit of not having to wash them so often and I love the flash of hot pink. A great option to wear heading into London on the train and smashing a few balls at Pitch. They offer fantastic traction thanks to the VersaTrax design on the sole. With multiple traction zones you can feel the grip as you move in varying directions, especially noticeable at the top of my swing on driving range mats that have been hammered this winter. Speaking of winter it is worth acknowledging that these are not fully waterproof but FootJoy does manufacture an XP version which is.

I will note the price of these because I think they fit into the category of best budget golf shoes out there right now. I think these offer incredible value and I would recommend them for so many other sporting activities other than just for golf. I’d even be tempted to have them in a few of the color options thanks to this price point.
