Although there was little doubt I hit the AP1 best of all, probably down to the unprecedented levels of forgiveness on offer from a Titleist iron, the AP2 was not far behind and it will appeal to a lot of traditional Titleist iron players.

Key features of the AP2 include a “tungsten nickel box” surrounding the lower cavity pushes weight low and deep for improved performance. A thin clubface allows for further weight optimisation within the head. The look at address look is a blend of classic and modern combining a traditional profile with softened edges and modern proportions. Longer hosels in the mid and short irons provide a better weight location for a controlled ball flight.
