MacGregor MT irons
MacGregor MT irons (3-pw)
This larger headed member of the MT series is an impressive addition to the fantastic Pro-M and Pro-C sets we tested in the May edition of Golf Monthly. The heads are great to look down on if you are slightly lacking in confidence but don’t want to look down on a chunky club with a thick top edge. A number of poor strikes with the long irons travelled a lot further and straighter than expected and the ball flight was great.
Why you can trust Golf Monthly
Designed for low to mid handicappers the MT irons combine a forged face which is welded to the sole and body. The undercut cavity lowers the weight and moves the centre of gravity forward to help control the ball and a slight offset and wide sole help provide forgiveness.
