Olympic Women's Golf Betting Tips

The good news for golfers and spectators is that the women’s Olympics golf tournament at the Olympic golf course, Reserva de Marapendi, Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro is going to dodge the rain for all but one afternoon.

You might think this is not much of achievement in Rio, but, as we saw last week, the men's tournament saw a lot of rain.

The tournament looks like it will be a sun-fest, so we can expect the course to be playing firm, fast, bouncy and difficult!

Olympic Weather Forecast Rio 2016: Wednesday 17th August, Round 1 Sun, sun and more sun. This looks to be a familiar forecast for the week. For the early starters it will be nice and warm at around 21°C moving to 27°C by midday and then up to a whopping 32°C by 3pm. This could mean that come mid-afternoon the golf course has really firmed up and we could see Lydia Ko and Charley Hull, who play in the final group, struggling to keep up with the early morning scores posted in the easier conditions.

Thursday 18th August, Round 2 The morning will be lovely, with temperatures ranging from 23°C to 24°C between 9am and midday with a wind speed of around 9mph. However, in the afternoon the wind will die down and the rain will come in which should keep scoring relatively low.

Friday 19th August, Round 3 Friday looks to be a scorcher with little wind and hot temperatures all day, just as you would expect in Brazil! The temperature in the morning will be around 22°C and then through midday to mid-afternoon will rise up to 28°C with winds expected to peak at just 7mph.

Saturday 20th August, Round 4 Saturday looks to be a very similar day to Friday, with similar temperatures and wind speeds. It should get up to 28°C for the leaders in the afternoon and some cloud cover may come in. By Saturday afternoon the course should be playing very firm and difficult which will make for exciting viewing.
