Rio Olympic Golf Course Hole by Hole: Hole 8
The eighth is the shortest par-3 on the front nine but is surrounded by large bunkers

A guide to the eighth hole of the Rio Olympic Golf Course ahead of the 2016 Olympics in August
Rio Olympic Golf Course Hole by Hole: Hole 8
Hole 8 - Par 3 - 167 yards
The third and shortest of the par-3s on the front nine measures 167-yards to a green surrounded by some very large bunkers – front, back, left and right.
This is another small putting surface with plenty of undulations that will test the players' ball control from the tee.
Being in the right portion of the green is paramount on this hole as there are some very treacherous pin placements to be had.
It should only be an 8-9 iron however so expect to see some birdies as well as some three-putt bogeys.
