The PGA Tour heads to the Wells Fargo Championship this week and it will take place once again at Quail Hollow Club, after a one-year hosting at TPC Potomac. This was due to Quail Hollow hosting the Presidents Cup in 2022.
This tournament is now a designated event and will feature a purse of $20 million as a result. Of course, as a result the field is of a high-quality, despite Jon Rahm and Scottie Scheffler skipping the event. Rory McIlroy returns to action for the first time since The Masters, Max Homa is the defending champion and Jordan Spieth will compete at the tournament for the first time since 2013. Then you have players like Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Tony Finau, Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele.

The course was first laid out by George Cobb before getting upgraded by Tom Fazio before the 2017 PGA Championship.
