Volvo is gearing up its support of amateur golf by expanding its Volvo in Golf programme, a collection of three national golf events for individual and team-play.
The Volvo Masters Amateur Tour (VMA) will feature a complete new schedule for 2010 consisting of 68 events and providing an opportunity to play competitive golf on some of the UK's best courses.
In addition, the Volvo Team Tour is new for 2010, the format of which involves pairs as well as an individual order of merit.
Finally, there's the Volvo Matchplay Championship, one of the longest standing and most respected amateur events in the UK. Now in its 15th year, the event has always proved popular with over 4,000 club golfers entering annually.
The Volvo brand is synonymous with golf having been a major sponsor of the European Tour for more than 25 years. More recently, Volvo has supported the amateur game with the VMA enabling thousands of amateur golfers throughout the UK to compete on some of the world's most renowned courses.
The VMA also runs throughout the world, culminating in a World Final which in 2009 was staged at Finca Cortesin, Spain.
