Golf Monthly and Volvo are offering one lucky reader and a friend the chance to win a place on the Volvo Masters Amateur tour event to be played at the former Ryder Cup venue, The K Club, between Thursday 19 and Sunday 22 August, 2010.
The stunning K Club in County Kildare, on the outskirts of Dublin, staged the Ryder Cup in 2006 where Ian Woosnam's European team secured a memorable victory over the USA. The K Club also hosted the European Open for many years.
The Volvo Masters Amateur Tour is the UK's biggest tour for amateur golfers and is part of the ‘Volvo in Golf' series of amateur golf events. The Tour gives golfers of all levels the opportunity to play competitive golf in a series of professionally organised events, on some of the most prestigious courses in the British Isles.
The Tour has its own Order of Merit and the UK Final will be held at the luxurious Vale do Lobo resort on Portugal's Algarve coast between October 29 and November 1, 2010.
The winner over four rounds at The K Club will qualify for the UK Final in Vale do Lobo. For full details of the 2010 Volvo in Golf series of events please visit volvogolf.co.uk, and for more information on The K Club visit kclub.com
