Volvo World Match Play Championship betting guide
This week the European Tour host the Volvo World Match Play Championship at Finca Cortesin, GM tipster Tom Clarke gives his opinion on who could be challenging come Sunday afternoon

One of the most entertaining championships of the season the Volvo World Match Play Championship takes place at Finca Cortesin in Spain this week.
It is a long course with very tricky greens, but with only one player from the top 10 in the world playing this week the tournament is wide open.
There are five players with odds under double figures, Martin Kaymer, Charl Schwartzel, Justin Rose, Sergio Garcia and Ian Poulter, for me there is simply no value in these odds.
However I do like Peter Hanson's chances at 14/1, he looks like he should get through his group which contains Paul Lawrie and Camilo Villegas. He has Ryder Cup experience and he also got through to the quarter finals of the WGC - Accenture Match Play Championship this season.
Alvaro Quiros has a game which should suit this course, and at 20/1 is a generous price. Has not had the best of years since his Dubai World Championship victory but on home soil he could well take a few scalps.
Bet with Ladbrokes and get up to £50 on free bets:
Nicolas Colsaerts had a good time here last year getting to the semi finals and his huge hitting certainly helped him along the way. There is no reason why he can't reignite his season with another long run this time out and at 14/1 the price sounds about right.

Robert Karlsson is an experienced hand at matchplay, but has not played in the previous tournaments held at Finca Cortesin. His powerful game again lends itself to this course, he only made the cut as Paul Casey pulled out due to injury and this could work in his favour.
"I am absolutely thrilled to receive this invitation. I have only qualified once before, so this is a great opportunity for me, especially in a Ryder Cup year, and I am really excited about the week ahead." At 20/1 he is certainly someone to watch out for.
The Volvo World Match Play Championship advised golf betting:
2pts each way on Peter Hanson
at 14/1 with Ladbrokes 2pts each way on Nicolas Colsaerts
at 14/1 with Ladbrokes 2pts each way on Alvaro Quiros
at 20/1 with Ladbrokes 2pts each way on Robert Karlsson
