US Open Weather Forecast
The opening day of the 2020 US Open on Thursday was very mundane in terms of weather. There was very little wind and that combined with the soft course conditions meant the scoring was a lot better than most thought it would be at such a fearsome golf course.
However Friday's forecasted could be very different indeed. On Friday morning rain is scheduled and it appears this will be on and off all day with some sunny spells.
More importantly the wind is going to pick up with 15 miles per hour winds predicted throughout the day. There will be wind gusts hitting 20 miles per hour on occasion too which will make shots into fairways and greens significantly tougher.
On Saturday morning the winds are still forecast to be present however there will be no rain to speak of as the sun will be out over the weekend.
The winds will drop away for the final days play but the weather in the region can be unpredictable at times so this could easily change.
We will update this forecast throughout the week at the US Open.
