The Turkish Airlines Open makes its return to the European Tour’s ‘Final Series’ schedule this November after its successful inauguration in 2013.
The Montgomerie Maxx Royal Golf Course has already seen many visitors on the course to experience the tournament-standard conditioning and first-class amenities.
The 2013 Turkish Airlines Open was hailed as one of the most successful premiere tournaments ever on the European Tour, and now the Colin Montgomerie-designed layout presents the opportunity for golfers to walk in the footsteps of some of golf’s biggest on the Belek coastline.
The inaugural Turkish Airlines Open, offering a total prize fund of $7m, welcomed a distinguished field of the world’s leading golfers including 14-time Major winner Tiger Woods, World No.2 Henrik Stenson and Ryder Cup hero Ian Poulter.
As French phenom Victor Dubuisson was being applauded as the newly-crowned champion, the five-star Maxx Royal Belek Golf & Spa resort was itself being commended as golf’s finest new tour venue.
The tournament marked the continued ascent of the impressive resort as the driving force of golf in a region rich with championship courses.

The evident quality, pristine condition and widespread appreciation of the facility among the star-studded field has provided a strong draw to the five-star resort, resulting in a record number of bookings and rounds in 2013.
With the critically-acclaimed par-72 layout continually improving, and fine-tuning already underway in preparation for the return of the Turkish Airlines Open in November 2014, there has never been a better time to visit and be treated just like the pros.
“The exposure of the Turkish Airlines Open has created great interest in the Montgomerie Maxx Royal and the Maxx Royal Belek Golf & Spa, and golfers are relishing the opportunity to recreate the great shots they saw Tiger and other great players hit in 2013,” said Cahit Sahin, General Manager of The Montgomerie Maxx Royal.
“As we get ready to host another sterling field in 2014, we are confident that all golfers who come to sample the Montgomerie Maxx Royal will be just as effusive in their praise.”
As well as an unforgettable round of golf, guests can enjoy the benefits of five a la carte restaurants, the Aven Royal Spa, the onsite Blue Flag beach and an array of opulent accommodation options.
