TP Tour heads to East Sussex National
Former European Tour venue the East Sussex National will host a TP Tour Series event next season
The TP Tour Series has revealed the East Sussex National will be one of the host venues for the developmental professional tour in 2013.
The tournament will be staged on Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th June, just before the start of Regional Qualifying for the 2013 Open Championship at Muirfield.
The two-day tournament will be contested over the West and East Courses, the latter having hosted The European Tour's European Open in 1993 and 1994.
The East was designed by Bob Cupp, and was one of the first American stadium-style bent grass courses to open in the United Kingdom.
"I'm personally delighted to be hosting an event with the TP Tour and confident that the players will enjoy the challenge of playing two of the best courses in Europe and the special atmosphere of this championship venue.
"For golf fans in Sussex, this will be an opportunity to see some world class professional players in action, including former stars of the Ryder Cup.
"One of the highlights for fans is that both our courses have excellent vantage points, which means spectators can get really close and experience the action of top stroke play."
