Tiger Woods set to announce comeback
Tiger Woods is set to make a decision on his comeback, according to his caddie Steve Williams
Tiger Woods is set to make a decision on his much talked about comeback, according to his caddie Steve Williams.
Williams said on New Zealand television that Woods is 100 percent focused on getting back on the course following the birth of his second child last week.
"He's probably 95 percent of the way there. He just needs a little bit more walking. He hasn't been able to walk too well," said Williams, who angered his boss recently when aiming a verbal attack at Phil Mickelson.
"He definitely wants to play a couple of tournaments before Augusta so any day now he's going to make a decision when he's going to play."
The world number one's first appearance could be in next week's Accenture World Match Play, where he's due to face Australian Brendan Jones.
Woods has not played since undergoing knee surgery a week after winning the US Open at Torrey Pines last year.
Williams added: "He's had to modify his swing a little bit to accommodate his knee, but the guy always finds a way. I'm a little nervous myself to see how he's going to come back.
"He's a person that's different to everybody, he's unique and he's out there in his own league if you like and I think that's taken a toll a little bit."Where next?
