Tiger Woods Injury Update?

Tiger Woods has once again found himself in the media spotlight but not from comments made by him but rumours.

Tiger has been out of action since September and it was looking like he was making positive strides to return... until last night when various social media accounts were commenting about the American’s injury stating it was getting a lot worse.

Robert Lusetich who is a well-known United States golf writer stated,

Lusetich has come out and stated that he was personally told by a reliable source that Tiger had suffered a setback. He later went on to say

It was Tiger’s agent Mark Steinberg that commented on the allegations, stating that “they had been much exaggerated.” He went on further to say “It’s reprehensible that every few months someone makes something up and it’s treated like a real story.”

Tiger only made 11 starts during last season stated back in August when he finished tied 10th Wyndham Championship that there was no timetable for his return.

It wasn’t just Lusetich’s tweet that made the headlines. A twitter account known as Secret Tour Pro tweeted “A Tiger Update for you all” this was broadcasted to 31.9k followers and soon grabbed the medias attention and also Tiger’s.

The tweet also had pictures attached to it, which went on to state that tiger was aiming to play at the Players in May but that is completely off now because the injury had worsened.

The Secret Tour Pro account went on to say

A final quote from Tigers agent stated “Tiger continues to work on his rehabilitation and we will have an accurate update at the appropriate time.”
