Tiger Woods in for Frys.com Open
Tiger Woods will play the Frys.com Open in California in October. Woods returns to the PGA Tour to rediscover his form and the Frys.com Open will be a first for the 14-time Major winner who missed the cut at the USPGA Championship
Tiger Woods has confirmed that he will be playing on the PGA Tour again this year by putting his name down for the Frys.com Open in October.
Woods is now ranked 38th in the World Golf Rankings, but he's keen to turn around his form and is looking forward to playing in the Fall Series event in California.
"I always enjoy competing in my home state, and this tournament fits my schedule perfectly," said the 35-year-old American, who missed the cut at the final Major of the season in August.
This year Woods has only played eight PGA Tour events due to injury, which has seen his ranking tumble, but with his sights still set on beating Jack Nicklaus' record Major haul of 18 and with his game in crisis, the 14-time Major winner is desperate to find some answers.

"John Fry and his company have supported the tour, and I've heard good things about the event and the golf course," added Woods, who has not won a tournament since the Australian Masters in November 2009.
"One of my goals this year was to participate in a tournament I hadn't played before. And now I will. "It's been a long time between the PGA and Frys [Frys.com Open], and I'll be anxious to compete."
