Tiger launches course design company
World number one Tiger Woods has announced the creation of his own golf course design company.

World number one and multi-talented Tiger Woods has announced the launch of his own golf course design company. The 30-year old will draw on his experiences of playing the world?s top courses in an attempt to create some masterpieces of his own.
The company is named Tiger Woods Design and Woods has positioned himself as chairman of the company.
Despite many previous offers to become involved in course design Tiger has waited to launch his own company. He explained to Golf Monthly earlier in the year why he felt it important to gain experience before becoming involved.
?I wanted to wait a good while because I wanted to get a taste and feel for every kind of golf. I've played on every continent except Antarctica in order to understand what a course should be like and how it should be played.?
He has taken advice from established designers such as Jack Nicklaus and Tom Fazio and as expected is meticulously prepared for the task in hand.
"Now I feel I've logged enough time and learned enough lessons to start this venture,? said the 12-time major winner. ?My goal is to provide a unique collection of amazing courses all over the world that represent what I love about golf," he added.
