The Memorial Tournament: Golf Betting Guide
Our PGA Tour betting guru picks out the names he feels will do well at The Memorial Tournament this week
The PGA Tour heads for Ohio this week and the Jack Nicklaus event at Muirfield Village Golf Club.
It is a course with wide fairways and sets players up to attack the greens with their second shot.
Tiger Woods is a remarkably skinny 9/4 with Ladbrokes as he defends this week.
So lets look at who can perform well here, you need to be a very decent ball striking, with short game to back it up.
Rory McIlroy 14/1 with Ladbrokes. In top 5 in Greens in Regulation on the PGA Tour, and has had two top 10s here before. Has four top 10 finishes on the PGA Tour this year - certainly overdue a win.
Rickie Fowler 50/1 with Ladbrokes. When he has struggled with his driving accuracy his results have faltered, so Muirfield Village's wide fairways should help him. Finished 2nd here in 2010, is 5th on tour in sand saves, but will need his putter to be firing.
Henrik Stenson 50/1 with Ladbrokes. Number one ranked on PGA Tour in GIR this season and for total driving, has three top 10 finishes from 7 made cuts this season. Seems to be enjoying his game once more and could be a very good value bet this week.

I like Bubba Watson at 66/1 with Ladbrokes. 7th in Greens in Regulation on the PGA Tour this season and with an improved short game since his Masters win. He is in good form recently with 6 top 25 finishes from 8 cuts made, including 2 top 10s. A must each way bet.
Nicolas Colsaerts 100/1 with Ladbrokes two top 10s from 6 cuts made, the Belgian Bomber is 26th in GIR this season and should gobble up the Muirfield Villages Par 5s. Has had recent issues with his putting hence his large price, but could easily get that sorted for this week. Finshed T25th here last season.
The Memorial Tournament advised bets:
3pts each way on Rory McIlroy at 14/1 with Ladbrokes 2pts each way on Rickie Fowler at 50/1 with Ladbrokes 2pts each way on Henrik Stenson at 50/1 with Ladbrokes 2pts each way on Bubba Watson at 66/1 with Ladbrokes 1pt each way on Nicolas Colsaerts at 100/1 with Ladbrokes
