The Barclays Golf Betting Tips

It is the first round of the FedEx Cup Play-offs this week with The Barclays starting a four-week cycle that will end with a champion being crowned.

The Plainfield Country Club in New Jersey holds the event this season for the first time since 2011.

Last season the Barclays was won by Hunter Mahan who birdied five of his last eight holes, he is in the field this week at 125/1.

The field is very strong with new world number one Jordan Spieth (6/1) heavily fancied to continue his exceptional play. While USPGA Championship winner Jason Day (10/1), Justin Rose (10/1) and Dustin Johnson (12/1) will also be heavily fancied to do well.

The Barclays Golf Betting Tips advised bets

Brooks Koepka £2.50 each way at 22/1 with Bet365 Playing really good golf at the moment and would be much shorter odds in any other field this season. Has had eight straight top25 finishes and will continue that run here.

Robert Streb £1 each way at 50/1 with Betway Feel his odds are just too long to ignore, has had eight top 20s in his last nine starts and his game should suit the course.

Danny Lee £1 each way at 66/1 with Coral Very surprised to see him out at this price, has had four top 10s in his last six starts and that included a win at the Greenbrier Classic. No reason why he can’t feature on Sunday

Camilo Villegas £0.50 each way at 150/1 Stuck into the field this week with a strong finish last week at the Wyndham Championship. Finished top 5 here in 2011, and could continue the good momentum.
