St. Leon-Rot to host 2015 Solheim Cup
The European Tour has revealed Germany's Golf Club St. Leon-Rot will be the host venue for the 2015 Solheim Cup
The Ladies European Tour has announced that Golf Club St. Leon-Rot in Germany will host the 2015 Solheim Cup.
The venue - which possesses 36 holes of championship golf - is located an hour's drive from Frankfurt, and is considered to be one of Germany's best golf resorts.
Indeed, St Leon-Rot has hosted a number of leading professional and amateur events, including the European Tour's Deutsche Bank SAP Open, won on three occasions by Tiger Woods.
The Ladies European Tour also announced Allianz and SAP would join Ping and Rolex as the event's Global Partners.
"We are delighted to be taking the 2015 Solheim Cup to Germany and to Golf Club St. Leon-Rot, which has such a strong international reputation for both hosting major international tournaments and developing the most talented juniors in Germany," said Alexandra Armas, The Ladies European Tour's Executive Director.
"The Ladies European Tour looks forward to working with all parties involved in the project to make the event a great success."
John Solheim, Chairman and CEO of Ping, added: "The Solheim family is thrilled with the selection of the Golf Club St. Leon-Rot as the site for the 2015 Solheim Cup.

"It's a wonderful golf facility that will provide a difficult test for the professionals and juniors. I know the team at the club will provide everyone with an exceptional experience.
"It is also very special to welcome two new partners, Allianz and SAP, for the event. Their worldwide reputations certainly add a great deal to the Solheim Cup."
The 2013 Solheim Cup takes place from August 13-18 at America's Colorado Golf Club, where Europe will defend the trophy they won so memorably in Ireland last year.
