Sony Open in Hawaii golf betting guide
All the latest betting odds with Ladbrokes and tips for the Sony Open in Hawaii where the tournament favourite Steve Stricker is looking to win back-to-back titles
The PGA Tour moves onto the Sony Open in Hawaii at the Waialae Country Club this week and Steve Sticker is the
7/1 favourite with Ladbrokes.
Stricker won at a canter last week in the Hyundai Tournament of Champions where he started the week joint-favourite with Webb Simpson. Simpson is his main challenger again this week and is priced at
10/1.
Simpson looked like he was starting 2012 where he left off in 2011 last week by finishing in third place. Had it not been for Stricker's sensational second round of 10-under-par he may well have been able to take the title.
Webb Simpson has an incredibly consistent game and always seems to feature at the top of the leaderboard. He'll be right up there again come Sunday on Honolulu.
Accuracy rather than distance seems to be a key factor to winning at Waialae Country Club so I'm tempted by Zach Johnson at

16/1. He seemed to be finding some form towards the back end of 2011 and I think he could take the title this week.
Another who jumps off the page at
40/1 is David Toms. Pay no attention to his placing last week. This course is completely different and he was sixth in the driving accuracy stats for 2011. He is a great bet this week at those odds having won here before.
KJ Choi is a former winner on this track and shows appeal at
16/1. He finished the Hyundai Tournament of Champions last week with an eight-under-par round of 65 and so will be relishing the competition this week.
Davis Love III could also prove a decent punt this week and is at a big price. While he didn't enjoy a great 2011, he has a good record on this course. He's notched eight consecutive rounds in the 60s at Waialae and finished tied for fifth in 2010 and tied for ninth in 2011. He is at
80/1 with Ladbrokes.
Elsewhere in the field, defending champion Mark Wilson is at
33/1 with Vijay Singh, Keegan Bradley and John Senden.
Charles Howell is at
25/1 with Jeff Overton, Jonathan Byrd, Rory Sabbatini and Kevin Na.
