Ballesteros, 51, was released from hospital on 9th December having undergone four separate operations, including surgery to release a worryingly high level of pressure caused by fluid on the brain following the initial tumour removal.
Seve, as he is affectionately known, said on his website recently: "I have started my first chemotherapy session. At this point, my thought is to rest and follow the neurosurgeons."
The five-time Major winner retired from competitive golf last summer when he was becoming increasingly hampered by back and knee injuries.
In October he lost consciousness on the way to a golf exhibition in Munich after which a scan revealed the Spaniard had a brain tumour.

The tumour was subsequently removed on 24th October, after which Ballesteros showed positive signs of a recovery, and he was released on 9th December.
