Seve Ballesteros is continuing his positive recovery from brain surgery having undergone his first course of chemotherapy.
The Spanaird was taken ill last October on route to a golf exhibition in Germany, and was later diagnosed with a brain tumour, which was subsequently removed.
And now the 51-year-old has revealed how the recent results following a first bout of treatment has given him fresh optimism.
"Fortunately, the results were quite good," said the five-time Major winner, who begins the second course of treatment on Friday.
"Besides, the physiotherapists are doing a great job on me as I feel better day after day."
Ballesteros had four separate operations last year and has been flattered by the support he has received from thousands of fans across the world.
The Spaniard added on his website: "I want to take this opportunity to thank them for their support and energy that is coming to me from all over the world and which is proving so good.
