Robertshawe and Russell win TP Tour events
Sam Robertshawe won his maiden TP Tour event at The Berkshire, before Raymond Russell won his second event of the season at Chigwell Golf Club in Essex
Posting an impressive 7 under par round of 65 on the Red course at The Berkshire, former top amateur Sam Robertshawe of The Army Golf Club in Aldershot romped home to victory on 29th August.
A deep field competed for the £1,100 first place prize, with European Challenge Tour winner Jamie Moul taking second place at 5 under par, along side Senior Tour professional Glenn Joyner and current TP Order of Merit leader Craig Sutherland.
The following week, former European Tour winner Raymond Russell carded a six birdie round of 66 to prevail by 3 strokes, despite having never seen the course previously.
Andrew George shot 69 to take second place honours, with third place going to Nick Flynn on 1-under with a round of 70.
The Hawtree and Taylor-designed Chigwell layout first opened for play in 1925, and has been a popular venue in north-east London ever sine.
Now attached to the newly opened Centurion Club near St Albans, Russell also won the Farmfoods Robin Hood Open earlier this season.
